"Great all around, highly recommend"

"The "Hotel" is actually a set of apartment rentals in a very large, gated condo development being built on a supposedly protected coastline in Basilicata. Substantial sections of the development appear unfinished or abandoned. The apartments are large, air conditioned and well furnished and ideal for a week-to-month beach stay with children. The quite beautiful beach is a substantial walk away, but serviced by a development-owned shuttle van. The development isn't near anything else, so unless...

"The Facility was excellent, out in the country side. Very peaceful and quite. The bed was very comfortable. The location was OK, a little far to get to Matera. One definitely needs a car in order to get to Matera. The breakfast was excellent. "

"We had a lovely stay at Agriturismoteo. The family that runs the place was really friendly and helpful. Breakfast was home cooked and we were served plenty of fruit and berries that had been grown at the farm. They charged 5 euro/day for AC (which we didn't use, but would recommend others to!). Locations was good too. It's close to the beach and to Matera. We really recommend this place for everyone interested in authentic and special experiences. "The property is in a great location on the edge of the historic old town with views just outside of the valley and caves as well as the historic church of San Pietro Caveoso with the Casa Grotta. Breakfast was very good also. Just bear in mind that the property is in the city restricted zone so we had to park around 0.5 miles away and walk with our bags - would have been good if the property description mentioned this as well as pointing out where you can park. Maters is a fantastic little place...
