Very nice family resort with ocean view. Good breakfast, facility overall. Room and bedding was very comfortable. Only one thing is it's little far from the main shopping mall. Other than that, it's a recommendable resort hotel for a few days relaxation.

Many hotels do the mistake of putting the fridge which is overheating inside the closet, and what it does is that the refrigerator does not get cold enough. So, what I did was to put the refrigerator out of the closet so that the drinks inside could get cold enough. It is not only your hotel, but many hotels does the same mistake and it seems you dont care wether or not inside the refrigerator can get cold or not.

Overall, we're quite happy with our stay here. The service staff and facilities were great. If there was one minor complaint it would be there were things like shower hose installed wrongly so it didn't sit right on the holder and stains on the bedding. Location was a little out from the main Batu Ferringhi beach area but it was nice to be away from the main bustle but close enough to be able to get there conveniently.

Staff will discourage you to take Grab by saying Grab does not come here sooner which is not true and then will bring a driver on 50 MYR per hour minimum four hour and will force you to take tours. Driver they get will not start aircon until asked for. Cleaniness is pathetic , staff will forget to change towels have to constantly call them. And food is ok and is not that great or. Die for.

Great and friendly staff with a nice pool. We really enjoyed the property and breakfast buffet options with local and international options. The only drawbacks would be the stretch of beach close to the hotel is not the greatest and there is not much close by to the resort within walking distance but easily solved with a 10min cab ride to the batu feringhi area

Had a pleasant stay at Doubletree Resort. Stayed at their spacious family room and they had a good buffet variety at breakfast. The resort is however, quite far from the airport (we took about 50mins to reach the resort due to traffic) and it can take around 20-30mins to get to Georgetown as well depending on traffic conditions. Apart from that, the resort offers a relaxing getaway from the city buzz.

Service was very good. However room feels very outdated and the floors are wooden but sticky (unsure why). Additionally parking is difficult if you’re back after hours. One weird thing, if you need assistance to deliver things like extra towels, cutleries there is a service charge. Overall, satisfactory.

For a weekend stay, coming with a big family, it was just right. Breakfast is the best feature with plenty of choices which was good quality. The beach and sea across the bridge are not the cleanest and not recommended for swimming, unfortunately. Nice pool and ambience overall.

We stayed in doubletree for 3 nights.. my room in poor condition. especially air con did not work properly… I could feel damp all time since I check in, which made me so sick… do not recommend at all

The hotel is very dirty and smelly. My room have lots of aunts on my bed and tables also the walls. Outside my room in the hall way the smell is disgusting like toilet smell which enters my room. My fridge is not working.. there was a person who is working in the lobby lounge was very rude to me and he made me feel i am not welcomed in his country. The location is the worst nothing around and not too much grab cars want to pick you back to the hotel. I can’t believe that this is 5 stars hotel.. the breakfast buffet the food is finished when I arrived and they dont refill. the only thing that i liked that they arranged something nice for my son birthday and also the band in the lobby sang for my son.

Amazing ocean view
Room 25 on the 10th floor (1025). Large terrace with spectacular views of the ocean. Room was a good size with separate lounge area. Breakfast buffet was awesome, loads of choices but very busy. We were there over a long weekend. Staff were super friendly and helpful when needed. Location was very isolated and required transport to get to any shops. Big hotel with lots of families and small children. Very child friendly with separate swimming pool and play area however the main pool was also used by the children. Not the quiet getaway we were hoping for unless we were in our room - which with such a big terrace and amazing views we didn't mind doing. Tip - download Grab app, for transport. Like uber but you pay the driver direct at the end of the trip- the set amount that is given by the app at time of booking. We don't understand some of the bad reviews we read prior to attending. The even approached us during one breakfast asking for feedback on our stay and appeared genuinely interested in our views. Food and beverage prices in the hotel were also reasonable, including room service with no hidden taxes and fees.

Spacious room and relaxing stay
The overall stay was great! Friendly staff and responsive (liked we can text to get service). During our stay, the air condition vent was leaking and the safe suddenly stopped working and a technician was sent right away to fix both the issues. However, the leaking issue continued to leak some water after getting fixed. Noticed the washroom door frame wood was starting to rot so might need to be replaced soon.

When booking with Expedia, I selected an apartment with balcony and high floor. At hotel I was placed in lower floor and the room had a strong smell of mold. After complaining I was given another room, better but far from expectation and price.
