Staff is professional and polite. Unfortunately their Internet was not working most of the time. I stayed for 4 nights and Internet only worked on the first night. I had to use my data to do access the Internet. Although my room has smart TV, it’s useless without the Internet connection.

Very poor wifi, TV services, customer service
Their wifi was very slow me almost nonexistent. They also charged extra fees bath towels if you request one.which doesn’t make sense at all especially when we rented executive suites. When the hotel was full forget it to have decent breakfast as you don’t even have a place to sit. The place is within walking distance to Lotte mart which is a plus but I have to say with lack of Wifi, TV service and quality of customer service I don’t think I can come here anymore. Also if you stay here more than one night beware that you do need to one to registration at the lobby everyday so your card can work

Decent place for families. Menu is plain and simple, buffet breakfast spread daily, same thing every day almost. Staff are excellent and friendly. Definitely a plus point there. Be prepared to check in late. Wifi is not good. So do have a backup plan for that. Overall for a simple family vacation, should be fine.

Long wait for lift
Staff were really friendly and strived to make our stay an enjoyable one. Hotel offered a late checkout (free up till 2pm in most cases) Some areas of the room were not the cleanest. Table was sticky and the curtains had slight holes. Very long wait time for the lifts. Out of 2 lifts, only 1 seemed to be working (No level indicator on most levels). Most of the time, we ended up taking the stairs down. For those who are noise-sensitive, you'll be able to hear the prayers outside very clearly at some timings. Do take note there are 2 entrances, most of the time we had to remind our cabs to take the right entrance in. Still, for the price paid, it's quite worth it. Hotel comes with pool and gym too.

Do not waste your money on breakfast. I booked a package with breakfast for 3 days. Most of the trays were either empty or with few miserable vegetables. Time: 8.15am. They did not take any effort to replenish the food, especially the only tray of protein, chicken. Everytime I asked, the same answer "another 5 minutes". I was there for 45 minutes and lost my patience waiting, and 2 this was 2 mornings in a row. Are they trying to cut costs by delaying replenish of food? I did march to the receptions and informed them that I would not be taking breakfast the next and request for a re-fund. They refuse since I booked thru' Expedia. But I paid thru' Expedia. I have no issue if the food I paid was not to my taste. But this was totally different matter as they refuse to replenish the food. I hope Expedia address my concern regarding my refund for the breakfast.

This is 2nd time stay in El Royale Hotel.Formerly, called Grand Whiz Hotel..Overall was statisfactory.Thumb up for room cleanliness and breakfast was variety with local and western food served.During my stay, lift upgrading work in progress hence long waiting and crowded as 1 lift able to use.Location wise very convenient as hotel just a cross LotteMart and many shops at Kelapa Gading areas. The hotel is aimed towards travelling businessmen with a professional and classy lobby area. The second floor is solely dedicated to conference rooms and event spaces. As with other hotels. there's a nice instagrammable pool, a gym (hidden and tucked away at the back of the hotel - which may be hard to find) and a spa place right beside the gym. The staff here were polite and accommodating and efficient in checking us in. The room however, was a little disappointing. When we first arrived in the room, it was apparent that no one has been in the room for a while. there's a layer of grey dust on the floor that was easily visible on the soles of our feet. Moreover, the toilet has stains on the floor that resembles dirt/mould. The shower head needs replacement as well - it was layered with different shades of white and brown dirt and mold. Behind the curtains, you would notice a balcony that is filled with dust and handful of debris from the construction that was happening behind our room (Not to mention the drilling and knocking sound during the day). The air-conditioning was also not working when we first got there on a sunny afternoon. We had to call the operator to send someone up to look at it (In which the technician is proficient and effective in solving the problem). The WIFI was spotty during the day which we suspected was due to the conference that was happening on level 2, forcing us to tether some internet from our phones instead.

Nice hotel which is near a shopping centre. Breakfast in the hotel was good,nice variety of Indonesian food and some Western. At the time when I was there, the hotel lifts were a bit slow (probably under renovation). Overall, I had an enjoyable stay here.

Would not go back.
Stayed there four nights and had two room. Both room had ants, told them after first night and cleaned both room but still had ants after cleaning. And also the air conditioning was not working in 1 off the room and complaint and was told they will fix but didn't so I didn't bother with it any more.

Most of the time only 1 of 3 lifts worked, meaning long waiting times to go up or down. Had to take the stairs a few times from the 10th floor in a dinner gown and 4” heels! There also seems to be no service lift, so hotel staff were also using the only lift to transport baggage up to rooms, with the baggage trolley taking up half the lift space.

Average hotel with need for better repair work .
The location is not too bad to go around shopping area by foot if one don't mind walking. Decent pool but gym is just basic. Second time I m staying in the hotel. The rooms are fine but air-conditioning are noisy and in my second time the toilet lights are so dim that I m surprised it's not changed until I had to asked to get them fixed, the first time i stayed the toilet system choked. Breakfast is bad so second time I did not book with breakfast. If you just want a decent and not expensive place to stay for few days business trip, it is ok hotel. Staff are nice and helpful as in Indonesian culture.

It's just ok.
The housekeeping has not make up the room till we were back in the afternoon at 3pm. We have to call for the service despite makeup room note been put up at door. We were having lunch and dinner at the hotel restaurant and we waited almost 45minutes for the food to be served whereby there's only few of us there.

Nice Business Hotel
Rooms could do with updating, but were adequate for our stay. The staff seem really helpful but trying to get directions in English can sometimes be a bit difficult. The hotel is close to 2 malls, one happens to be The Mall of Indonesia. Both easily walking distance, no need for taxi's and quite safe at night.

Suspected that the room I booked at Expedia was not according to web-site. Given the smallest room type. Requested for Jakarta Post delivery not carried out. Disturbed by staff early in the morning for laundry service. Once I did not answer and the staff opened the door. I shouted. Lifts very slow.

the staff was very helpfully, i think i should have 2602 room but then changes into 2102. firstly i hope when I'm check in my room is already ready to use, because i book this room since July 2017, but still i have to waiting about an hour. the hotel is near with kelapa gading shopping center. but the gate of the hotel is not big enough, is not flagrant

Decent location, and good size room for a family of 6. But it was difficult to get a taxi or uber, and the beds were rock hard. Elevators took forever at times. Breakfast was not great.

Good family hotel
The suites are very spacious and has full amenities for a longer stay. Appreciated the big sofa bed which served as an extra sleeping and play area.
