Nice modern hotel, great amenities, great shopping and restaurants around. We only had breakfast at the hotel which I rate 5 stars. Real quality breakfast with just the right amount of options to choose from. Adi and his team at breakfast were very attentive. We had a great chat, overall very professional and knowledgeable. My check-in experience wasn’t outstanding. We were greeted with welcome drinks which was nice after a long journey. We received our room card at the check-in desk without being told which floor and it actually escaped us too. I then went back to the desk to ask which floor only to be told we were given the wrong room card. No staff joined us up to the floor to show us around the room or even how things work. It felt rushed but wasn’t busy. I appreciate a swift check-in experience but this wasn’t it. RUMA hotel provided my mum with a delicious birthday cake which we both loved. I would stay at RUMA again but had to point out the little observations. The only real great experience was at breakfast like mentioned before. Make the service a little more personable, warm and welcoming.

Fantastic. Highly recommend to everyone!
Ruma is an excellent hotel to stay at in KL. I was so extremely pleased with them checking in on me via WhatsApp a few hours after checking into the room to let me know that they are ready to assist me in anything I needed help with during my stay there. Also really appreciated the early check in since I arrived before 3pm. I also noticed that the service is very well thought through. For example, when I checked into the room the window blinds beside the bathtub was up to let the sunlight in. At night when I went back to the room, the window blinds were down on its own for privacy. Such small touches of service here and there really distinguishes their service from other hotels! Location is also great, very centrally located.

High quality authentic experience
I liked our stay in the RuMa hotel. Interior was impeccable, comfortable beds and nice amenities made our stay very pleasant. Location of the hotel is beneficial as well, very close to Petronas towers, aquarium and Pavilion shopping center. The area itself is very nice and comfortable to walk around. In terms of improvement areas I would like to mention breakfast, we ordered eggs few times and they were a bit bland/undercooked. I stayed with mom, and we celebrated her 80s birthday in KL. In 5star hotels I stayed previously, I had a nice experience when there were congratulation cards from the hotel administration on such special dates. I believe future hotel guests would appreciate this small act of kindness and care.

The stay at the hotel was amazing. The decor was tastefully done and had a warm inviting feel to it. Staff were all warm, courteous and helpful. The welcome drink was a really nice touch, and really set the expectations for the rest of the stay. Our room was clean, spacious and beautifully done. Minibar was completely complimentary, which was a huge plus. I think this is something other hotels should learn from, in terms of providing additional value to the visitor. Overall, we really enjoyed the stay and will not hesitate to come back again when we visit KL.

Nice looking hotel, nice looking room. Check in was awful. Disagreement on whether I booked breakfast included- staff was supposed to check in with management but I never heard back. After check in we received zero attention from front lobby staff. No suggestions for tours or attractions. Zero - nothing offered in the way of assistance to first time visitors as ourselves to KL. It’s likely due to not seeing anyone at the front desk over say 25 years of age. There is a maturity missing from check in staff. Cleaning staff worked at very odd hours and were extremely noisy. Disagreement on inclusion with reservation aside breakfast is extremely overpriced. Bed is both undersized and oddly sits low to the floor. There were heavy quilts that seriously competed with the aircon which is very odd in terms of foresight. The room was also undersized for a king room. Suitcases opened on the floor - meant no where to walk. Felt claustrophobic. Some of this criticism could have been spared with a well attentive front lobby staff who follows up with guests to see how their stay is going.

Every detail of this stunning contemporary hotel harmonizes. For example, you have an Amber drinking glass echoes the polished copper sinks. It isn’t over the top though. Dried flowers decorating the breakfast is so in point. I’ll be back!

My wife and I felt welcome and cared for from the moment we arrived. The RuMa staff are well trained and attentive to guests, and were eager to assist when we had questions. Something nice is the staff was proactive, and would ask if we needed anything. Even if the answer was usually that we didn't, we still appreciated the extra effort. My wife had a massage, which she enjoyed, and the pool area, where food and drinks are also served, was pleasant and relaxing. The hotel is walking distance from the Suria and Pavillion malls, where there are lots of dining and shopping choices. On the fourth floor of the Suria mall is a Kinokuniya bookstore, large and well-stocked, for those wishing add to their home library. We rate the RuMa as excellent and would return.

A cozy stay in the heart of KL
Great location with good food choices and attractions in close proximity. Beautifully designed hotel, comfortable stay and a good selection for breakfast. Only downside was the lack of a downtown view, but overall a great stay and would highly recommend!

This is my new favorite hotel! Absolutely lovely modern design with a traditional flair. Wonderful small touches. Perfectly located in central KL. And reasonably priced! Can’t wait to come back.
