Paradox Singapore

10/10 Excellent

"This is a beautiful well maintained hotel (there was some work being done on one of the elevators while we were there). The staff insures that all the facets of comfort are there for you with extra towels and slippers for going to the pool. The hotel has a wonderful breakfast buffet. During certain month a neighboring country allows the burning of trees causing a very smoky air quality lowering. The hotel does a great job of filtering the air in the hotel. Large shopping center across the street. 2 1/2 blocks to a Hop-on-hop-off bus stop."

Studio M Hotel Singapore

8/10 Good

Copthorne King's Hotel Singapore

8/10 Good

"Hotel is very old and the condition shows its age. Room was very dated and furniture looks close to falling apart. The cupboard doors were falling off its hinges when I opened it to access the mini fridge and complimentary tea. Lighting was also very dark in the room and en-suite bathroom, making it difficult for me to get ready in the morning - I couldn’t even see if my makeup was done. Lobby was constantly crowded and noisy since the restaurant was located just beside it. There is a little seating area with complimentary water and Starbucks machine which you could purchase a drink, thoughtful but bare. Public access bathrooms on the first floor were dirty. Check-in wasn’t so smooth for me. I already completed the pre-arrival form the day before but didn’t receive any confirmation even after I arrived. When I approached front desk, they asked for the info again and I had to alert them to the fact that I already completed check-in online. To make matters worse, my room wasn’t ready and I was told to wait around and they didn’t give me info on where I could wait until i asked. I was just told that the person before checked out late (it was almost 3pm) and they are still prepping the room. When room was finally ready, the keys were just passed to me directly without any info again. No checkout time or breakfast timing info shared. I have had better experiences at their sister properties. Overall it was a very unsatisfactory stay and I will not be back."
