Room was not comfortable. I had premier room. Still it was not upto mark. In bathing area, water was not draining properly. Washing jet was not working properly.

The property is vast and good. The breakfast was good. However the food ordered in the restaurant “The coffee shop” wasn’t great. The fish was so dry and chewy. It was not even close to soft. The other restaurants like Kelong and Dino was better.

Comfortable place with good service. Renovations happening at some places that created some noise and smoke. Some f&b segments were closed too and on Mondays but generally the stay was enjoyable. Would have preferred to be given a pool/beach facing room since it was quiet on a Monday but was given the back facing unit.

The beach was covered in sticky tar, we couldn't go in the water or even walk on the beach. The resort also seemed dead, there was 3 or so families in the entire resort. Everything was incredibly expensive and the staff were not service oriented at all. Bad customer service, expensive resort, not a happening place.

Nice change before heading home
Resort is located an hours ferry ride from Singapore (terminal is close to Changi Airport). The ferry ride was pretty good but we had a few patches of rough seas. On arrival the pre arranged bus was waiting for us to take us straight to the resort and on arrival we were greeted with a short local welcome dance and drink. Check in was easy and everyone was very friendly. There were not alot of visitors at that time of year (mid Jan appears to be their slow season till Chinese New Year starts in Feb). Resort was still lovely but without the touristy vibe with half of the activities closed I guess due to lack of patronage and many places took advantage of this time to do maintenance. The rooms were basic but had what we needed. A free shuttle bus was offered to go to nearby places within Nirwana Gardens if required. We were only there 1 night. If we stayed longer we would have tried one of the golf courses there as they looked amazing and town apparantly was an hour and half away where the Temples and Elephant park was. Still a pleasant interlude before heading back home although reasonably expensive to stay too long.

Great escape to a breezy beach
We had a very pleasant stay at Nirwana Gardens. The room was very comfortable and spacious. The problem was the very thin walls to the adjoining room and the Chinese family that liked to get up a lot earlier than we wanted to! Other than that the room was great. The facilities at the beach could be better (chairs etc.) but the beach was very pleasant. There is a bit of tar in places but not very noticeable unless it gets onto your clothes or skin. Staff and service was very good and friendly. Overall a very happy stay.

Great location and fantastic pool. Hard to get full info on the activities/services around. Walked for 2km to a floating bar, just to find out it's closed for renovation. The breakfast buffet was pretty good. Almost all activities are expensive and not that interesting. The dinner options are many but not particilarly impressive. The Spice restaurant was quite good, but the Italian one on site was not. Paid 20$ for a microwaved pizza. The service is subpar throughout.

Great pool and beaches
Nice resort. Spice restaurant had good food but maybe a little pricey. Rooms were dated but clean and well maintained. Staff was friendly. Kids club is lacking a bit for kids over 5 years old and the A/C was broken so we didn’t utilise it. Pool and beaches are lovely.

All is typicaly nice of a typically nice resort in a verry nice setting. But, they do take to the extreme the business model of cheap (ish) rooms but gouge on the F and B. USD9 for a can of beer (at least bring me a bottle), USD10 to put my bicycle on their free shuttle bus, USD22 for taxi ride from the resort that cost me USD13 to the resot, and of course the old favorite 10% service charge.

The property is very well maintained, the food is excellent and there are a lot of possible activities that can be made. Personnel is lovely. However prices of whatever is sold within are (just my standpoint of course) too high (e.g. food, items at the mini-market and activities). The traveller should gather relevant information on associated costs so not to have surprises once there. Such costs are not avoidable as it is not easy/convenient to get out of the resort.

Bundle ferry tickets and accommodation packages are widely available through Travel Agents as a one stop shop. The staff is friendly and they speak good English. The bed is firm and nice. We had a very good rest in the night. The Wi-Fi reception is also good and we were able to watch Netflix in the room. The pool overlooks the sea and the beach is clean. There are ample deck chairs for guests to laze around the pool. We had a most relaxing stay at the resort. It will be nice if there is shuttle service to Tanjong Pinang, the city area.

They just want to make money, as much as possible. All is chargeable. Food is double the price compared to Singapore (incredible). My daughter lost her mask in the water middle of the ocean during snorkeling. They have charged 25S$ for replacement, the mask was just old and had been probably used since years by hundred other tourists. Many plates and bowls at breakfast buffet are not washed properly and i could find rest of food stuck. The rooms are old and wifi very poor in rooms.
