"Reserva Amazonica is a beautiful property located 40mins by bost from Puerto Maldonado. We spent 2 nights there and generally had a good experience. The lodges are beautiful, clean and well equipped and staff is really nice and attentive. The nature surrounding the hotel is beautiful and there are some small animals / birds that can be found on property. The included excursions are interesting (we mostly enjoyed the canopy walk and lake Sandoval). Unfortunately, we were there during a cold spell...

"The immersion experience was great. Be prepared though to feel hot and full of bug spray much of the time. Wear hiking pants. Not Lulu leggings (too hot). The guides are great and you can do as much or as little as you want. We saw a lot of animals. "

"Avoid!!! i turned up to check in and there wasn't anyone there, when i phoned the number given they said they weren't returning to the guesthouse to check me in. I had to find another hotel. It is also not the same building as is advertised in the picture!!"
