We had a very early 4:00 AM checkout, and they still prepared breakfast for us to take away, which was a really thoughtful touch. Everything about the experience felt professional and warm. "Capella is a great hotel. There's a lot of blingy furniture which is not really my style but is supposed to resemble 1920's and they've done a great job. The hotel provides afternoon tea and cocktails. The staff the was a bit disorganised and i was told that cocktail I ordered was no longer available as they ran out of it so I assumed the cocktails were pre made and did not really contain the alcohol strength I'm familiar with esp my Negroni."

"Everything about this hotel works perfectly. The location, rooms, staff and food are exactly right. The manager, Alex, is happy to "go the extra mile" to make sure that you have what you need and that you're well looked after. His team is friendly, helpful and all seem to be very happy. This is the fourth time I have stayed at this hotel, and it won't be my last. Location-wise, you are in easy reach of Hoan Kiem lake, good eating places and, if you're feeling brave, the train street.
I just need to say and extra 'thank you' to Alex. I don't think the word 'no' is in his vocabulary and this attitude just takes the stress out of business travel in Hanoi. When a promised delivery failed to arrive, it was Alex who go on the phone to DHL to find out what was happening and then made sure that when it did eventually appear it was sent on to my next hotel in HCMC. Exceptional service.
