"I initially stayed in a twin bed room for 2 nights and then flew to Sapporo and then came back for 2 nights in a standard room. Although the rooms were small for North American standards, I felt the the beds and shower on both occasions were a 10/10. Everything about my stay at the Sugamo APA hotel was exceptional including the price of the rooms. I will definitely stay here again."

"This hotel is in the middle of Shinjuku which was perfect for first time travelers to Japan. The highlight of this hotel is location. It was a close walk to the train station - which was amazing. There were lots of good places to eat within a few blocks from the hotel, with multiple convenience stores located nearby. The room was quite small but that is standard for hotels in Japan. We only travelled with two carry-on luggage and the space felt tight, so I can't imagine how tight it must be if you have two travelers with their own check-in luggage. They have coffee and a kettle, as well as a fridge. Overall, it was sufficient for a 2-night stay."

"This hotel had a lot of perks that made our trip overall very comfortable. The dining lounge with a microwave and cutlery made take out dinners with our group of 5 very convenient. You also get 1 drink vending machine token per guest per night so everyday before we headed out we grabbed a tasty drink to bring with us. There are multiple free to use laundry machines and 2 coin operated laundry machines. most of the time the free to use laundry machines were taken so we just used the coin laundry machines. The proximity to Tabata station was also very nice, just a stone's throw away from the Yamamoto line to get to the rest of Tokyo. We didn't use the gym or the onsen during our stay but they seemed very accessible. The hotel also has a lot of small items you can borrow like a clothing iron, luggage scale, charging cords and more. The room's are tight as expected for a central Tokyo hotel room, so just be mindful of how large of a suitcase you're bringing, you'll be storing it under your bed, which worked for our 2 carry ons, 2 backpacks, and then all the items we bought throughout the trip. They also provide comfortable pajamas which was a pleasant surprise."

"It was a clean facility. Staff was friendly. Modern place. Small rooms but that is the norm. Room function was good. Breakfast doors closed at 9am, it would be nice to at least go to 9;30 am . 2-3 m walk from the Yamanote Line so perfect location. I would stay again."

"It is intimidating at first, but the system there is impeccable. Such an awesome area right on the Yamonote line. I opted for the breakfast & that was the only part that tripped me up because GoogleMaps was no help. The restaurant is a few blocks west & is well worth the money."
