"The historic flagship hotel in Taiwan. Magnificient, traditional Chinese architecture. Rooms in the main building have panoramic city view. Excellent service and several restaurants offering a variety of dining options, including an unbelievable buffet. The spacious ground floor lobby is truly splendid but gets crowded when tour busses come in with visitors from mostly Asian countries."

"I would like to commend the hotel’s housekeeping staff. Every time we came back from our strolls, our room was always neat, clean, and well-organized. You could really see their high standards of cleaning and room service. I also apologize if we left a lot of disposable items when we checked out. The location is another big plus. Wanhua Station is directly connected to the hotel, Longshan Temple is just a short walk away, and there are plenty of convenience stores nearby. The area is quieter than Taipei’s main districts but still close to many tourist spots. Although the neighborhood is a bit more downscale than other parts of the city, we still found it very convenient and safe. The hotel also has restaurants, a Starbucks, a swimming pool, and a bar, making it easy to relax or grab a meal without leaving the property. The amenities are not quite at a typical 4- or 5-star hotel level, especially since toiletries are not provided, but considering the affordable price, it’s definitely worth it. The hotel is also easy to locate for Uber rides and Uber Eats deliveries. Overall, we had an excellent stay that exceeded our expectations. We would definitely stay here again on our next trip to Taiwan. Thank you to all the staff for making our stay so comfortable!"

"Nice hotel, lovely breakfast. Staff was nice except for the omelet station girl/ boy who had an attitude because I asked for a firm omelet instead of a runny one. I had to make him/her put it back on the fire. My husbands omelet was just runny. Also they could do better with the welcome drink. 5 people in 2 rooms and all you give is 4 coupons (2 per room) and the welcome drink is only a can of coke and sprite. For such a big hotel you all can do better. We only spent one night before we left for Japan. Location not like Ximinding but not bad to walk and get what you want. Zhangxiao runs parallel and quite busy good for pedestrian but civic boulevard is CRAZY with bottleneck traffic at rush hours, so much noise at THAT TIME."

"Overall we really enjoyed our stay and it's nice that the hotel has several restaurants on site. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. Love that there's a laundromat within 2 mins walk. We were able to do laundry a couple times while we were there which made things so much easier when you are traveling for a long time! I was surprised to be charged for a phone call I made to another hotel (different city but in Taiwan still) with $720 NTD (about $24 USD) for maybe 10 mins while figuring out our next stay. It just seems way too expansive for a phone call within the same country. Other than that, I don't have any complaints. Will definitely stay again in the future (just won't use the phone, lol)."
