"The evening shows have the same group of dancers every evening. It is a family resort and multiple nights they had two guys, almost naked, dancing & rubbing each other like they were a couple in love. It was very offensive to young children and to straight couples. (One night it was a rock show, it was nice) A lot of the guests could not find one available lounge pool chair bc some of the family group put one towel in two chairs and take 10 chairs while only four members are seating each time together. Our room mattresses were so uncomfortable & hard. We upgraded our room but the mattress was still the same. Buffett meals never served any kind of steaks, not even the skinny ones. It was only served at the restaurants, which you must reserve and pay additional prices for the better food. The staff were nice. However I ordered some liquor cream to add in my coffee and the waiter recused to go get some from any the bars. The saddest part is that the bars only open at 11:00 am. Front reception has ready nice drinks for arriving guests, when we asked to try one, they said no. It is only for arriving guests. However when we arrived they did not serve us any drinks because our flight was delayed. Nobody waited for us. We were VIP guests. The hotel looks clean, bc they are constantly painting over mold and metal bathroom rusts. (I guess it works). The location is beautiful. The food and mattresses are the worst part plus the two male dancers. "

"We recently stayed at Temptation Cancun Resort and overall had a great experience, especially when it comes to the food. We have visited Cancun about seven times, and this hotel stands out as the best so far for dining. The food was phenomenal, and the Italian restaurant was a highlight Chef Noel was amazing, The staff were very kind, friendly, and helpful throughout our stay. The resort is also very clean and well maintained. However, they are quite strict about taking photos during activities and shows. One downside was transportation. The hotel does not provide airport transfers, so guests must arrange and pay for a private shuttle. Communication around this could be better our flight was delayed, and unfortunately the shuttle did not wait for us, and we did not receive a refund, so we had to pay for an extra taxi. The beach area is not the best compared to other resorts, but overall we still recommend this hotel, especially for the food and service. "

"If you are looking to stay somewhere a little busy, Sunrise is it. We were there end of March, lots of young people but lots of families too. Ice cream is very good. Restaurant reservations are hard to get. Expect to wait for things like drinks, etc. Sunrise resort is bigger and more crowded than Nizuc. Nizuc is quieter and smaller. There is a decent size pool at Sunrise resort for kids with a few slides. The playroom is the standout attraction. Very clean, lots to do. Also there is an arcade in the lobby area which is pretty amazing. Overall good if you like a bigger resort. Like many places, food is hit and miss. Some good, some bad. Very difficult to get beach chairs. Everyone comes out at 7am to reserve them and so if youre late good luck. Beach is very dirty with seaweed. But not big waves which is nice."

"Avoid: Poor Hygiene and Unusable Facilities We stayed here a week before the resort closed for renovation. The "pre-shutdown" atmosphere was highly disruptive, with most restaurants closing during our final two days. While the lobby was fine, the guest floors and rooms smelled terrible due to poor housekeeping and a strange liquid used for toilet brushes. The Experience: Sanitation Issues: The beach was unacceptable; I saw waste in the water and on the sand multiple days in a row. Other guests described the property as "filthy." Ironically, the neighboring Riu Caribe beach was much cleaner and the overall experience there felt superior. Room & Infrastructure: Our 7th-floor room was directly above the loud HVAC system, making the balcony unusable 24/7. Additionally, most elevators were out of service, leading to long waits for the few slow units remaining. Dining: While the food was good and staff were friendly, the buffet lines for omelets and crepes were so long that many guests gave up. Final Verdict: Even after restoration, we will not return. The fundamental lack of beach hygiene and the fact that this "higher-class" resort felt inferior to the Riu Caribe next door is deal-breaker."
