The staff were warm, friendly and helpful. In particular, Kumar who was manning the front of the house and check-in was most accommodating and left an indelible impression on us with his generosity and making the stay most memorable.

Super new and posh, as expected. Everything was premium quality. Wouldn’t recommend for family stay (especially with young children) 2 things can be improved: bathroom door need label, we knocked head on the glass; when we asked for something delivered to the room, the staff came inside the room while we were all in the toilet, that was unpleasant.

We stayed here two nights (23+24 June 2014) while on a round trip in Malaysia. This hotel is pricey compared to the other hotels/B&B in the neighborhood, but its definitely worth the price. The hotel looks like the pictures and has very nice calm over it. Service is great, we didn't had a refrigerator in the room but they just put a mini refrigerator in the room since we had something to celebrate! The concierge staff esp the lady was very friendly and extremely helpful.

super convenient, located near major sites. Best of all was the service, we were a family of 5, arranged an airport transfer for us, upgraded us to a family suite as it was Mother's Day and my dad's birthday. Accommodated a late check in and late check out request, gave good dining suggestions. And of course, the beautiful heritage mansion. Highly recommended for those going to Penang!

Room is clean and spacious, with enough room for luggages. Walking distance to ferry, jetties and old town. Helpful reception staff.

Stayed 5 nights, very friendly helpful staffs, excellent central location short walking distance to many Georgetown attractions and wonderful food.

Hosts howie and arthur are friendly. I stayed over xmas eve and xmas. They hosted a xmas potluck party. Free food, free drinks, awesome conversations. Atmosphere was great. Room is rather small. Aircon is cold. Water heater works. But footsteps can be heard in this refitted colonial house if you stay on the 2nd floor. Location is good. Very central. Minutes walk to the bus stop and to some great eats.

We enjoyed our stay in You Le Yuan very much. We love the hospitality and ambiance very much and will definitely be staying in the same hotel for our next visit to Penang, Georgetown!

The hotel is conveniently located in the Old town, easy accessible to Unesco Heritage site and street foods. 5 minutes walk to 1st Avenue and Komtar shopping centres. Room is clean and spacious. Staff are friendly and approachable. There are on site Restaurant and Convenient store for your convenience during raining days. Facilities wise, there are no phone and minibar in the room. My second time staying at this hotel as I love how near it it to many places. Hotel breakfast could be improved. 1st Avenue, Prangin Mall, Komtar are opposite the hotel. Famous Penang food street (Chendol, Fried Kway Tiao, Assam Laksa, White Curry noodles) and many other mobile food stores are just behind the hotel, mobile food stalls turned into a night food street after 6pm! Walkable distance to many other tourist sites but if not, Grab is soooooo convenient (and cheap). RM4 to clan...

Short 2N stay but it was a wonderful experience at Kim Haus! Definately will come back again if visiting Penang.

Check-in was smooth and efficent and staff there was very helpful, especially the lady working at counter who later we found out is the female boss was very helpful with directions and suggestions. The housekeeping was done very well, even though he or she forgot to provide us with free bottled water after we check-in to our room and forgot to change our towel after staying 1 night. Overall was a very pleasant stay at the hotel.
