Staff was friendly and helpful enough. Because I am a foreigner with tattoos I was told I could not use the pool, hot tub, gym..etc so that was disappointing. The bed in the room was hard as rock and lumpy, basically a prison cot. It was uncomfortable and hurt my back. Each bed had one thin pillow which was also lumpy and uncomfortable. The room had air conditioning but it didn’t work well and struggled to keep the room under 22-23 degrees C. At night it was hot and stuffy in the room and I had to use a fan to cool off. Overall it was a nice enough hotel but I’m not sure if I’d stay again in the future.

The room was very accommodating. Great deep soaking timing. Water pressure, flow, and hot water. Firm memory foam double bed. And mini fridge for personal use. Downside, only with the upkeep for in-room use for coffee cups, water glasses and replacing them from ones already used. But overall housekeeping was very good. The amenities which were utterly very fantastic was their gym facilities and the pool, plus the indoor/outdoor onsen free daily till 1am in the morning. The gym and pool came with a moderate extra fee, but well worth the generalizable surcharge which can be added to the room’s cost at checkout, later. The on-site breakfast buffet is very convenient if you’re appetite is high for a good solid Japanese styled meal. But of course there are other options eating elsewhere in the city at cafes or indoor/outdoor restaurants wherever they are located like in Paris. The lunch buffet is also very delicious though, however, not as popular as one might’ve imagined in the hotel’s dining days pre-pandemic. There are odd things about the hotel’s lobby that are still strange. Like the dried out water cutouts which surround the outside of the hotel’s exterior space but not indoors? And there is a Tully’s Cafe, very busy drawing business folks, students, and an assorted number of customers, but the hotel’s space limits their ability to expand on more seating outside of its own interior layout. The lobby itself has no seating whatsoever anywhere. Floor, lighting, so-so. Strange?

The pool and gym each charge 2750 yen per visit. Which means this listing is inaccurate. This hotel doesn’t have pool and gym amenities. The room was just too small for this price. No other issues.

First trip to Osaka
Our biggest complaint was that the hotel hosting international travelers were not very fluent in any other language besides Japanese. One of the front desk personnel had to communicate with us using a language translation app to translate Japanese to English. We arrived a bit early but they told us we had to wait til 3pm even though we inquired if possible to check in a little earlier. A little surprised the room did not include any complimentary coffee or tea either.

I am quite happy staying at City Plaza Osaka. The staff is friendly and helpful. The surrounding is quiet where I get to enjoy a peaceful environment. However, I do find it's quite inconvenient staying there as the subway is quite a distance from the hotel. And also, the breakfast spread is very limited and I get to eat the same menu daily

The rooftop spa and onsen is delightful. The rooms are a bit cramped and dated, but the amenities an the staff's friendliness largely outweighs this.

City Plaza Osaka was a beautiful stay
City Plaza Osaka is a stunning and impressive hotel. The staff bent over backwards to help us whenever we needed it and our room was beautiful. Quite a good price for such a great hotel too. Would stay there again if I went back to Osaka.

Great hotel with Onsen
Great hotel with own Onsen (traditional Japanese hot spring). Very clean and modern. It’s not in the most convenient location but it’s only a short walk to the subway.

Nice onsen, location so so
Depends on where you will go around Osaka. If you will spend most of your time in Namba area, not bad - only 2 stops away. If you will connect and change trains in JR Osaka, this hotel is a bit of a hassle. Location requires you to walk 10 minutes or so to get to the line that will take you to Umeda and then you go to walk around 5 to get to JR Osaka.

From checking in, I did not feel welcomed. It is obviously a business hotel and I was not there for business so I feel I was treated coldly. I would not suggest this hotel for anyone traveling with friends or family.

Good location, easy access to tourist area
Great location. Take subway get off sakaisuji hommachi station, exist 12. Very convenient to access many tourist areas. From kix airport, take express Nanak I rapid to tengachaya and transfer to sakaisujji subway line. Exist 12 bear right will see Starbucks and risk sign. Go straight down about 10 min to hotel. Once see a bridge, hotel is on the left hand side. Love the location.

Good Location for weekdays & its near the Central
The Hotel is a nice stay considering the promotional price. Location wise is not so bad, citing about 15 mins walk to the central. Only setback is that this is inside a Business District. so Sunday is a DEAD City, otherwise its an excellent Hotel to stay for your holidays.

Warning: This hotel charges a lot for use of pool!
Warning: The use of hot spring facilities (onsen) is on included but this hotel charges an exorbitant ¥2450 (US$23) per person to use their swimming pool and/or fitness gym! I was disappointed as I have put pool as priority prior to booking the hotel. And to charge us almost $50 for my daughter and I to use the pool is downright ridiculous! In the end, we decided to skip it and simply use the onsen.

I stayed at City Plaza Osaka for 3 nights and overall my stay was enjoyable. The room is quite small (as compared to Toronto standards) but everything was strategically positioned so that no space is wasted. The hotel provided FREE spa treatment and an onsen (public bath) service that unfortunately I had no time to take advantage of. I made a request to have one queen size bed instead of two double bed but I was told a few days before my trip that they weren't able to accommodate that because there weren't any other rooms that were available (I booked two weeks in advance). Can't blame them as their rooms get booked up quite quickly. I must say though the customer service is beyond excellent. I arrived early so they weren't able to check me in but they offered to watch over my luggage (they offered me a cold towel to wipe my face with; small gestures but most definitely appreciated). And at the end they called up a taxi to take me to the airport, provided translation service to the taxi driver and basically made sure I was in good hands before waving good bye as the I was leaving in the taxi (I turned around after exiting the hotel and she was still waving goodbye).

Location is a bit off from tourist attractions but it isn't too far of a walk from the train station. If you can I would suggest the walk to Dotonburi which is about 25 mins. I used the onsen for a night but found it too busy with 20+ women and some were not respecting the quiet rule. Overall it was a great hotel to stay at for my stay in Osaka.

I realy love public bath on the top!
The hotel has large public bath on the 14th floor. It include open air bath, sauna and mist sauna. I stayed at the hotel 2 nights and spend time in the bath 3 hours in total (1 hour in night + 0.5 hour in morning per day).

We got a twin bedroom and it was quite small for us. The service was good though and the response was prompt as usual. We enjoy the daily buffet breakfast but the variety ought to change once in a while.

A nice hotel with clean and comfortable rooms. Front desk stuff was friendly and helpful. Onsen (spa) facilities are a nice plus. Breakfast in the morning had a nice variety of food. Mostly decent, but nothing stood out. Location is alright. Take note that this is largely a business/office area so there's not much open late. Even the hotel facilities close early. There is a convenience store a few minutes away by walk. Transit wise it is not very close or connected to main Osaka station or tourist attractions. There is a local subway about a 10 minute walk away, however, most destinations will require you to change trains somewhere. For a business traveller, would recommend. For a vacation traveller, I would consider other options.

Clean and modern hotel in the heart of Osaka
here for one night on business. I love this modern, clean, bright hotel very much. I always sleep well here. Even the single room has a semi-double bed and is not that small. The free use of the onsen on the roof is a big bonus too! Breakfast is OK; the choice is good, though the quality could be higher for sure.
