Overall, I had a great stay at this hotel in Cancun and would recommend it to others. The food was excellent, the restaurants offered plenty of variety, the pools were beautiful, the drinks were great, and the overall atmosphere was fun and relaxing. Most of the staff members were friendly and helpful, which made the experience enjoyable.
The reason I’m giving this hotel 4 out of 5 stars instead of 5 is because I experienced a few issues with the rooms. When I first checked in, I asked if it would be possible to stay near my brother and sister-in-law. I was told that because they had paid for a beach-view room and I had booked a standard room, we would be placed in different areas of the hotel. While I understood the explanation, it was disappointing since we were traveling together.
When I got to my room, I discovered that there was no TV remote and, more importantly, the door lock was not working. This made me feel uncomfortable and unsafe. The next morning, I spoke with the front desk, and they were very understanding and accommodating. They quickly helped me move to another room that was much closer to my family, which I truly appreciated.
The second room was definitely an improvement and had a working lock, but one of the lights in the room wasn’t functioning. While it wasn’t a major issue, it was another example of small maintenance problems that could have been addressed before guests arrived.
Despite these inconveniences, I genuinely enjoyed my stay."
