I really enjoyed the okonomiyaki food event that they put on! It was really enjoyable and such a great way to meet other people staying at the hostel!

Traditional Japanese room was a fascinating experience. English breakfast is 3 pieces of toast plus a hot drink, not a cooked breakfast as the term might mean in the UK. Overall a good stay

Friendly staff
Friendly staff, hostel is clean and has the necessary facilities for a comfortable stay. It would be better if the breakfast time can start earlier at 7:45 or 8 am.

Great hostel in Osaka
Cheap affordable solution if you’re in Osaka. spacious beds and rooms, lots of amenities, Free basic breakfast, clean and easy access to a Subway station. Mattresses are a bit thin though, but that’s with most of the hostels in Japan.

Close to the station
The hostel was near the station so it was easy to find but there are pros and cons this was my first rime staying at a hostel so I didn't have any expectations but still ... Pro - The staffs were nice and even asked me which language I prefer or if I need any help around the city - a lot facilities that you can use - fast wi-fi - I didn't know there was a free breakfast (although it was a light meal I appreciate the effort) - the location was in Higobashi which is a walking distance (one stop by subway) to Nishi-Umeda and Osaka station Cons: -when I got to my room, the room has quite a distinct smell to it. (Maybe because it was a mixed room ) - the other guests where quite loud inside the dormitory talking loud and talking on their phones - I often wake up in the middle of the night due to coldness because some guest put the AC at max temperature - you can hear other guest snore because you are basically only separated with a curtain - i was in 4th floor and my area is a bit dirty I don't think they clean it often because when I came in the 3rd floor the toilet was clean and the shower room has lots of space - I wish the shower room has trash can and a place where you can put your things. I was struggling with my stuff because i didn't knowwhere to put it - the biggest con was the bed itself. It was very uncomfortable and couldn't sleep much.

Stayed in the Wah room, which was perfect for a family of 5. Very spacious. The shared amenities were clean & always available. The indoor garden provided a pleasant distraction. The cafe was very good & reasonably priced. The location was very convenient to transport & the cafes & restaurants nearby were excellent.

My capsule had a strange smell. Oddly of herbal. But not in a good way. Since i had the bottom bunk and stayed for a few days. I got to experience the type of people that had the bunk above me. First night. I had someone that brought her suitcase into the top bunk. (Not sure how it’s a climb) but i woke up to her rolling it around at 4am. The second night i believe someone else stayed. Not loud at all. Perfect. However the third night. The person above had i guess a video playing in her phone the whole night. So i didn’t get much sleep. (So ask for top bunk!)

Trendy Hostel
A very trendy hostel - great for everyone. Staff were very friendly and helpful upon check-in. Room and amenities were very clean. Although basic - the free breakfast was also great! Don't forget to check out the rooftop hammock!

Bright, Clean, Convenient
Very clean dorm and bathroom. Bright, nice atmosphere. Fairly large bed and curtains for privacy. Friendly staff, proficient in English. Cafe looked cool but I didn't go in. Not tons to do in the very immediate area, but walkable to both Umeda and Namba or a very short train ride. Subway station just around the corner. Would stay again!

Clean and friendly hostel!
A very nice, friendly, clean hostel in Osaka. Staff was very friendly in helping me with translation and directions. The beds and bathrooms are clean. The rooftop area was a chill spot to unwind after a long day. Location was very good. Only one stop away from the main Osaka station and a few stops away from the nightlife and food of Namba/Dotonbori. Some close by food, coffee, and convenience options as well. Definitely would recommend!

Nice hostel
Nice hostel with a good layout. Very hard to meet people as there is no real area to hang out in. There is a small kitchen to cook in which is great. Also there's not a ton in the area to do after 9pm, however dotonburi is accessible my train fairly quickly!

Ok. As expected from a hostel.
Ok hostel. Things not included was a towel which, even for a hostel, is a little poor. You could rent one, but just buy one from a ¥100 store if needs must for a couple of days. Bunk beds have privacy curtains but theyre looking a little tired. Clean though.

Great value for budget travellers getaway!
Receptionist can speak english thus no prob to communicate. No shoes are allowed inhouse so you will find floor is withour rubbish. Room is good to fit 6 ppl with bunk beds. Beds are good enough with lamp and curtain. Bathroom is very clean that you will find it is comfortable to use which is different from most of the hostels!

Amazing Ark!
The staff at Ark was so friendly and super helpful! Rooms and showers were very clean. Beds were amazingly comfortable! Not the most sociable hostel although everyone was very considerate and polite! Overall I would definitely recommend Ark Hostel!

I enjoyed my 4 nights stay at Ark. Stayed in the mixed dom. This hostel is very well maintained. Clean, new, modern. Staffs were very friendly and helpful. They even prepared a little booklet on where to visit in Osaka and the photo spots too. They prepare breakfast that you can reserve one night before. Conveniently located near exit 9 of Higobashi Station. Room for improvement will be the comfort level of the mattress. I find it a little thin... Nevertheless, i will return to Ark again if i ever visit Osaka again.

Good hostel.
The experience is good. The shower room and toilet is clean enough. The bed is comfortable too! It is near station, takes only 2 mins to walk to the guesthoue.
