"An amazing stay with beautiful facilities and friendly caring staff. We felt very looked after. Definitely recommend the Rasa wing and the benefits of this, with no children and peace and quiet (for the most part). Afternoon tea was delightful, evening cocktails very morish!! The only downside were the overly attentive gardeners who, armed with leaf blowers would be constantly noisily working throughout the day, it was quite disturbing! Thank goodness for noise cancelling headphones, but really for a five star resort this should not have been required!! Would we go backโ€ฆ.yes we would."

"This is a lovely heritage-style hotel in the middle of Chulia St. While it's close to all the action, it's also an oasis of calm inside. The pool is small but nice to have (and rare for a heritage hotel). We spent three nights here and on arrival were told that the original room we were booked had been overbooked, but comms via Expedia hadn't come through in advance, so we were downgraded to a Courtyard room, which turned out to be slightly bigger and more comfortable than expected from other reviews. As compensation we were offered the final night in the suite, which was absolutely lovely - I could easily have spent a week in there! Staff were incredibly nice, thoughtful, helpful and kind. Breakfast was so-so - while the buffet was not the most appealing, there were also omelettes made to order, and you're not short of every kind of food option around the neighbourhood anyway."
