Cozy and welcoming!
My stay at PAX started with a welcoming staff who carried my luggage up to my room and also Introduced me to the local area and provided me maps and suggestions. PAX is a relaxing space with records and a slide you can enjoy! WiFi is Strong and the beds are comfy. I highly recommend this hostel!! It’s about a 5 min walk to the subway. Thanks for a great stay! Perfect stepping off point in Tsutenkaku
Easy to find hostel with a cafe and record place down the bottom that serves really great coffee and such yummy food! I had the vegetarian banh mi two days in a row and it was so nice. Oishi! Check in was easy and the reception offered to take my bag up the steps to my room which was really nice. Really friendly and easy going staff, mainly Japanese and good English (I will learn more Japanese for my next visit I promise!). I was in the female dorm and the bunks were quite private and comfortable with a lock box, a little shelf, a light, a plug and some hangers on hooks. I had a little trouble getting up and down the ladder cos my fat thighs kept getting stuck, not sure why the wood goes up so high cos I found it a little unwieldy with my uncoordinated body hahaa. The bed was comfortable but got a little warm in the middle of the day when I slept in cos I was next to the window but it wasn't really an issue. All the facilities are very clean and well looked after. Only one shower in my area but I didn't have a problem accessing it (luck, perhaps?) and there is a very cheap onsen close to the hostel. There really wasn't much to fault whatsoever and they were really kind to me about a massive stuff up I made due to a change in my circumstances so I recommend this place wholeheartedly. Other guests were very nice too. Thank you!

Feels like home~
The staff were really friendly, makes you feel like home. Such a shame that my stay was so short and couldn’t interact more with people there. Only down side is that, if you have many baggage it would be very tiring to move everything by the stairs. Location wise was so good! So much food and so near to Spa world! I can go in the middle of the night and walk back after. So awesome!

Nice hostel at tsutenkaku tower
- the Staff are super lovely and willing to help with anything including food recommendations and bike hire! - everything is nice & clean. the bunk beds have screens between them so your own bed is pretty private. bags are stored at the end of the bed, which can be squishy but there's just enough room. If you're uncoordinated maybe try to get a bottom bunk because the ladders to the top bed can be awkward and I came away with a few bruises. - the 2 six bed dorms share a kitchen area and bathroom with 2 toilets and a shower. However in my 3 nights this was fine and I never had to wait long to use anything. - on the nights I stayed the hostel was pretty quiet - downstairs closed up at 10 and there weren't any other guests in common areas after that however I think this hostel might be around the corner from a police station because one of the nights there were loud sirens going off nearly all night which I think kept waking up our entire room - lots of food shops around, a fun little area to explore with a public bath close by if you want to experience that - but it's also close to subway line to get around. - they have a washer and dryer for small loads, but there is also a coin laundry in the st if needed - would recommend

A cosy hostel for travellers
A nicely decorated hostel in a convenient location, around 5-10 minutes walking distance to nearby train stations. Staff are very friendly. The lounge on G/F also offers coffee and music for you to enjoy. Highly recommend to those who like meeting new friends during travel.

nice hostel
the area is good only few minutes walking from shin-imamya station and two stations away from Namba station. the bed was comfortable and clean and the hostel style was nice with wood floors and wood beds.

I recommend the Pax hostel
Was very nice place, small but cozy, staff were helpful & friendly. Excellent to take a rest at night after you got tired from trip. Location also is convenient, nearby 3 subways, walked only 4-5 minutes. Really recommended for all.

ベッドの寝心地がよく、スタッフのカンジがよいホステル。
・今まで利用したゲストハウスの中でベッドマットが一番よかった！ ベッドマットの好みは人によるとは思うが、ちゃんとしたベットマット（コイルスプリング）で、安眠できる。ベッド最高です！ ・シーツ等も事前にセッティングされており、チェックアウト時もそのままでよい。 ・女性ドミトリー利用。ゲストハウスのベッドで、うなぎの寝床タイプ形式は初めてで、入る前は狭さ・息苦しさを感じるかもと心配していたが、ちゃんとしたベッドマットが入る幅と、ベッドの横に３段の小さな棚があり、物を色々置けたり、その棚を設定する分の板間が取られているので、一般的な２段ベットよりスペース的には広い。 壁にはフックが３個とハンガー、鏡もあり、木造りの鍵付の貴重品BOX、コンセント差込口も３個口あって、嬉しい。 但し、隣のベットとの境の壁板に隙間があり、少し光がもれる。 ベッド２階だと、はしごが、登っていると90度近くに感じる設定な上、隣のベットと半分サイズで共有のような形で、登りにくい。暗い中で登りこむ時はバランスを崩さないよう気をつけましょう。 ・共有スペースは、１階のカフェでも宿泊者用のフリードリンクを利用できるし、カフェには席の他に、中２階のようなスペースもあり、くつろげる。 ３階の共有スペースには調理できるキッチンと食事できるテーブルもあり、嬉しい広さ。３階は他にトイレ2、シャワー１、洗面3？(ドライヤー有)で男女共有だったと思う。シャワー室は一般的なユニットシャワー室より少し広いように感じた。 ・女性ドミの部屋ドアにも番号キーがあり、安全面を考えてくれているとも感じたし、ちょっとトイレに行く、水を飲むという時にちょっぴり面倒くささも感じる。 ・女性スタッフがとてもいい人で親切でチャーミングな方だった。 チェックインは22時までだが、22時以降には受付にある電話で日本人スタッフに困ったことがあれば訊けるシステムになっていたし、私が宿泊した時は、22時以降でも外国人スタッフが受付にいて、簡単な質問をすることは出来た。

房間跟浴室很棒很可愛 Nice room
房間公用區域都很可愛，床舖也很舒服覺得很棒 離通天閣很超近，但是晚上從新今宮地鐵走回去的路上有點暗 Bed is comfort ,the hostel is so pretty just as same as the photo. Super close to Tsutenkaku, but some road walk to Shin-imamiya station is dim in the night.

Thank you for your valuable review. It is good to hear that you liked our hostel! We are sorry that the area our hostel is located in left a bad impression: Shinsekai is a particularly unique area in Osaka, linked with the economic development and collapse of Osaka City pre and post-war. We appreciate that the area is a little grungier and dirtier than the rest of Osaka, but chose this area with the desire to provide people with an 'authentic' or 'real' experience of the city, and convey what this area has to offer. We regret that you felt unsafe in our neighbourhood. Shinsekai does have a reputation amongst a lot of people in Osaka as 'dangerous', but this is mostly due to historical reputation: the area is now home to a great number of hostels like ours, and has now become a tourist attraction for both foreigners and Japanese, and the rate of violent crime remains astronomically low by global standards. That being said, we cannot excuse the fact that you felt unsafe, and for that we deeply apologise. To address this, we plan on providing more information about the area on our website, in order to better inform people who plan to stay at our hostel and prevent anyone from having a bad experience in the future due to the location. Convenient Location, 3 mins from station
Friendly staff. There is no elevator so i recommend to bagpacker. Only a small common area out of your room. Overall it is a good place for sleep.
