They let us check in early, around 12:30, thankfully, otherwise we'd have had to carry our bags all day. The room was well appointed if a little warm and noisy overnight.

I recently had an extremely disappointing stay at the Lancaster Court Hotel. Myles stay was ruined by a pump or motor noise coming from the bathroom. The noise was so loud and meant it wasn’t going to be possible to sleep there as the pump was coming on every few minutes. To make matters worse, the bathroom door had a large gap, allowing the noise to fill the entire bedroom. When I approached the staff for assistance, they were unable to resolve the issue or provide an alternative solution. They said their maintenance would fix it the next day, which wasn’t helpful as I was only there for one night. As a result, I left just a few hours after checking in without actually sleeping there. Despite having a room that could be used for sleeping, the hotel has refused to offer a refund, even though they provided me with a room that was completely unsuitable its primary purpose. Overall, my stay at the Lancaster Court Hotel was extremely frustrating and disappointing. It was a decent budget hotel located in a quiet area on a tree-lined street. I knew my rooms was going to be small, but it was really small! That would have been ok if it was better laid out. I made a few suggestions to staff on the way out and they promised to look at them (like putting an outlet where it was usable, a place to put luggage, and a small shelf in the bathroom as there was nowhere to put anything). Staff was very nice and accommodating. I hope they think more about functionality given the small size of the single room.

The hotel room was very basic. No shelving in the shower or bathroom. No extractor fan in the bathroom. Furniture, curtains etc were very basic. No lift and the stairs are very steep and dirty. Carpets were old and dirty. Not a place where I will stay again.
