The biggest problem was the ongoing construction while we stayed there, beginning as early as 7:20, mostly 8:45, with constant banging, knocking, hammering, right underneath our room. The worst day was the day after we arrived, since we were jet-lagged and just wanted to sleep in a bit. No chance. They said they had been renovating for the last three months and were almost done. I feel they should have noted that in their ads. I would not have booked them.
Also, no free WIFI -- we could have purchased time. When coffee shops and pubs offer it for free, that, to me, is a big No.
Since our arrival into Heathrow was at 6:30 am, I had called ahead to see if we could store our bags. They had no record of my phone call, they did, however, allow us to leave our bags in the lounge, which was very run-down. They had an electric water kettle for tea there, however the lounge was not very appetizing. I opted not to sit on the couches either.
Since they had no room available, we left and found breakfast down the block, returning at around 11 am, at which time they did let us into the room.
They served breakfast from 7:30 to 8:45 am only -- I suppose they wanted everyone out of the hotel so they could continue their construction. Needless to say, we never did experience their breakfast.
The room was clean, the bathroom tiny, the view onto a sort-of airshaft. I am not planning a return visit.
